Well Water Testing & Treatment

Orange staining, a rotten-egg smell, soap that won’t lather, or just want peace of mind? We test your well water across South Carolina and recommend treatment that actually fixes the problem.

What’s In Your Water

Common South Carolina Well Water Problems

Private wells aren’t treated by a city utility — so testing is how you know what you’re drinking and bathing in.

Iron & Orange Stains

Rusty staining on fixtures and laundry. Common in SC groundwater and easily treated with the right filter.

Sulfur “Rotten Egg” Smell

Hydrogen sulfide gives water that distinct odor. We identify the source and the right treatment.

Hard Water

Scale on faucets, spotty dishes, and soap that won’t lather — softening solves it.

Bacteria & Coliform

The safety test that matters most. Recommended yearly and after any well work or flooding.

Sediment & Sand

Gritty water that clogs fixtures and wears out appliances — filtered at the source.

Acidic / Low pH Water

Corrosive water that eats copper pipes (blue-green stains). Neutralizers protect your plumbing.

Test, Then Treat

We don’t guess — we test

The wrong treatment system is worse than none: it costs money and doesn’t fix the issue. We start by testing your water so we know exactly what’s in it, then recommend only the filtration or treatment you actually need — iron filters, softeners, neutralizers, or disinfection.

Questions

Water Testing FAQs

How often should I test my well water?
At least once a year for bacteria and nitrates, and any time the taste, smell, or color changes — or after flooding or well work. There’s no city utility testing it for you.
Is orange or smelly water dangerous?
Iron staining and sulfur smell are usually aesthetic nuisances rather than health hazards, but they’re worth treating — and testing rules out anything more serious like bacteria.
Do I really need a treatment system?
Only if the test shows you do. We recommend treatment based on your actual results, not a one-size-fits-all package.
